Who usually make the opening introduction to a movie premiere?

The question basically means who welcomes everyone to the event and could you give an example what the introductions are like, please?

And would they announce donations to a certain company/charity at the beginning, before the movie is premiered, or after the movie is premiered?

And what usually happen at those movie premiere events?

    I don’t remember who spoke first but at the Sudden Impact premier, Clint Eastwood spoke before the film.
